2010 SOFTBALL TEAM - All men and women 15 years or older can join us for fellowship, exercise, and fun. Contact Don Henning if you are interested in being part of our 2010 team.

 BIBLE CLASS/SUNDAY SCHOOL – There will be one adult class Sunday 2/28. Pastor Rempfer will be teaching The Augsburg Confession and Its Apology in the Fellowship Room. Pastor Mueller is teaching confirmation in the cafeteria.

BIBLE INSTITUTE - Sunday 2/28 at Our Redeemer– at 4 p.m. is the Youth Bible Bowl over the Gospel of Matthew. Come learn and support the youth. Pastor Troxel will also have a one-hour session on authority in the church.

CAMP CILCA NEWS You are invited to join us at Camp CILCA ’s Men’s Retreat (March 5-7) or our Women’s Scrapbooking Retreat on March 19-21. The new summer program is online at www.cilca.org Camp is most certainly a memory that you will want your children to have. Registration is open!!!

FAMILY NIGHT - The elders have not scheduled a family night for February or March, but are encouraging members to eat together prior to either the 12:10 or 7 p.m. Lenten services The next family night is April 24th. We encourage the congregation to attend the youth meal and talent show.

KISS-A-PIG CONTEST Kiss-a-Pig Contest begins March 2st.  Each week one or two pictures will be added to the poster in the Narthex so you can see who will be in the running for the contest. Start saving your change.

LENTEN DRAMAS! Have you ever wanted to act???  Do you have a flair for Drama?  If so, you can be part of the church dramas during Lent this year.  Parts vary, so if you want to help, but want something with few lines, we can work that out.  Large parts are available too! Please contact Cathy Gooding.

LENTEN WORSHIP - This week - Pastor Mueller will lead worship here this week. His theme is 'Lion Alert!' based on Amos 7:10-17.

LIFELIGHT meets Tuesday. At 9:30am is a ladies’ study. At 7pm there is a study open to all. They are studying Ephesians and 1 & 2 Thessalonians.

LUTHERAN HOUR MINISTRIES - The Central Illinois District of the Lutheran Layman's League will meet at Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln on March 20th. The new executive director, Bruce Wurdemann, will be present, and will be the speaker for the evening banquet. They have several subsections, one of which is on the new Men's Network. MEN’S BIBLE CLASS – Thursday 10 a.m. This Thursday, March 4th we will start a series called, "Portraits of Easter."

NEXT SUNDAY - Next week we continue to look at our post-modern culture with the theme, "This is it???" Jesus said, "Today you will be with Me in paradise." You mean this isn't paradise? Life is short; get the most out of it here-and-now.
