LifeLight -- Ephesians and Thessalonians (Adult)
This in-depth course in the LifeLight series explores the books of Ephesians and I & II Thessalonians. It aims to help participants live a confident, joyful, fruitful life as they await the return of their Lord. Paul’s letter to the Ephesians is about the church and about the fellowship of believers who make up the church. It is about us, for by faith we are the church in our time and place. Paul and his entourage eventually reached Thessalonica. In his two letters addressed to the Thessalonian Christians, Paul expresses his deep care as a founding pastor concerned about his fledgling congregation. We, by God’s grace, are part of God’s family – a family united in Christ and sustained by the Holy Spirit. (9 sessions)

Christless Christianity Is it possible that we have left Christ out of Christianity? While we invoke the name of Christ, too often Christ and the Christ-centered gospel are pushed aside. The result is a message and a faith that are trivial, sentimental, affirming, and irrelevant. This alternative gospel is a message of moralism, personal comfort, self-help, self-improvement, and individualistic religion. It trivializes God, making him a means to our selfish ends. The solution: a return to the unadulterated gospel of salvation.

Leader: Pastor Marlin Rempfer
Location: Fellowship Room
Dates: January 14 – February 4

Bible Difficulties and Apparent Contradictions in the Bible Men regularly sound their protestations against the reliability of Scripture simply because they do not grasp its meaning or because of lack of light on the passage in question. They point the finger to a host of events or personages in the Bible which, they claim, are erroneous. But it always turns out that the Bible is vindicated.
