Prayer is communication with God- speaking to Him in words and thoughts (Psalm 19:14).  We are to pray continually (1 Thess).  He invites us to pray to Him (Matt. 7).  The Almighty God requests that we, His people, talk with Him!
In our prayers we should ask for everything that tends to the glory of God and to our own and our neighbor’s welfare, both spiritual and bodily blessings.  We should also praise and thank God for who He is and what He has done (Explanation of the Small Catechism).
Even the disciples of Jesus asked Him, “Lord, teach us to pray.” (Luke 11:1)
To support you in your life of prayer, and with the desire to minister to you, we have devised a yearly plan for prayer- we would like to minister to you about prayer through email.
Once a week (2 times during the Major Holiday of the Church), those who return their email addresses to us will receive an email.  In that email will be:
~A prayer for you to pray often during the week
~A verse from the Bible to ponder over or even memorize
~A reference to a longer reading in the Bible
~A question or two to ponder
~Even an internet link once in a while to useful Lutheran/religious internet sites

Anyone can take part!  If you would like to be included in this ministry, please complete the form below.
